Prachin Buri City Pillar Shrine was built in 1867 by Krom Muen Borworn Wisetchaichan, whom King Chomklao assigned to build Prachin Buri fort and city wall. Prachin Buri City Pillar Shrine was constructed according to the architectural plan designed by the Fine Arts Department. The main structure is Thai style architecture with a roof with four gable ends and a pagoda top. The reinforced concrete building is decorated with a gable porch roof topped with red fish scale roof tiles. The tip of the porch roof is a steeple prang, from the building to the tip of the prang is decorated with embossed patterns and clay sculptures. Inside, the City Pillar was enshrined. The Pillar was made from sacred wood, Chaiyapruek, with its base carved into lotus petals and the top beautifully carved into 4 heads and 4 faces. Beside the City Pillar is Phra Lak Muang, the Maha Jakkrapat Buddha statue, along with the prayer for people to pay homage to. People often come to the City Pillar Shrine to receive blessings for smooth and successful work.

               Not far from the City Pillar Shrine is the Phraphuttha Prachin Chinnarat Bophit Temple, located near King Rama V Monument. Inside the temple, the Prachin Chinnarat Bophit Buddha statue, the Buddha statue of Prachin Buri which had been blessed by His Holiness Somdet Phra Yanasamvara the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand at that time, is enshrined
