Phra Buddha Dharavati Sri Prachin Sirindhorn Lokkanat (Sheltered by Naga Hood) and Khao Ito Waterfall Forest Park

            Phra Buddha Dharavati Sri Prachin Sirindhorn Lokkanat (Sheltered by Naga Hood) is a sacred Buddha statue located at the Khao Ito Buddha Park. It was built with unique art and is considered the oldest Buddha statue in Siam. It was a replica of the Buddha image in the Dvaravati period. The grand Buddha sheltered by Naga hood is highly respected by the locals and visitors of Prachin Buri.

             Phra Buddha Dharavati Sri Prachin Sirindhorn Lokkanat means the ascendant Buddha of Dharavati. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has established the buddha statue in Prachin Buri. Phra Buddha Dharavati Sri Prachin Sirindhorn Lokkanat (Sheltered by Naga Hood) was created to commemorate HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the occasion of the 60th Birthday Anniversary, on April 2, 2015. It is considered the largest Buddha statue sheltered by Naga hood in Thailand.

            Khao Ito Waterfall Buddhism Forest Park or World Buddhist Park was established to domestically and internationally promote Buddhism in order to portray as a place of Dhamma and nature. It was beautifully designed to be a place for relaxation. It is located in a National Reserved Forest, so Khao Ito Waterfall is a place where natural resources and the environment are protected, preserved, and restored. In Buddhism Forest Park, there are many other interesting attractions as well. The amazing hill is also a well-known place in the park. It is where the car magically goes uphill even though the car is turned off.

            Another highlight of this park is Chakrapong Reservoir. It is a large reservoir surrounding by beautiful nature, that is suitable for a drive, a walk, and a bike ride. For those who love cycling, you can bike through the trail on top of the dam and enjoy a nice cool breeze in the evening.
